Implant Dentistry

The secret to smiling with confidence

Smile, and the world smiles with you. But if you suffer from tooth loss due to periodontal disease, past injury, or other causes, smiling can be a frustrating experience. You may tend to hide your teeth from others, hoping they won’t notice the gaps in your smile. Social situations may be embarrassing as you wonder if everyone is staring at your mouth. Tooth loss can be hard, and most people don’t know how easy it is to fix.

Look in the mirror and imagine you have a full, glistening smile. You look and feel at least ten years younger. With the latest implant dentistry technologies, you no longer have to imagine. A dental implant is simply a metal screw that holds a false tooth in place.

A very high success rate

The success rate for implant procedures is very high – well over 90%. Aside from improving your self-image, dental implants improve bite function and facilitate chewing. Besides replacing individual teeth, they can also be used to provide support for bridgework and dentures and reduce movement and friction among all teeth.

Often the best option

So, if you have missing teeth, you need not be embarrassed any longer -- especially since we offer such a wide range of options to complete your smile. The best option by far, especially if the missing tooth space has no surrounding teeth to support a bridge, is a dental implant. A dental implant will give you optimum functionality as well as a more permanent esthetic solution.

How do they work?

Dental implants mirror the size, shape, and strength of natural teeth. The implant, or artificial root, is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia or IV sedation and then allowed to heal and integrate with the bone. Once the healing process is complete, the implant can be fitted with the new tooth, called an implant crown restoration.
